Oil and filter change/Scheduled maintenance
At German Automotive we believe in shorter oil change intervals therefore although you can choose to follow manufacturer's own service intervals as they are displayed in the instrument cluster we suggest oil changes at every 10,000 km interval. For this reason you will find an oil sticker attached to your driver's door jamb set at 10,000 km
We provide two types of oil changes:
All filters that we install (air, cabin, transmission, fuel, etc) are of highest oem quality from Mann, Hengst, Mahle and Purflux. We do not use any other brand of filters period. The oil and filter quality will make the difference between your engine lasting 150,000 kms or 500,000 kms. All our parts are guaranteed for two years. We cannot and will not install customer's supplied parts except in special cases at our discretion. Never drive with a flashing check engine light (severe misfire), red oil pressure light (low oil pressure), high coolant temperature (engine overheating), red battery light on (alternator not charging or broken alternator belt). Either engine damage will occur or there is a good chance that you will be left stranded. Factory style maintenance
Factory maintenance is similar to the "Full oil service" except it is brand specific, and we follow the brand's recommendation in terms of maintenance.
For example "Service A" for Mercedes Benz, "Vehicle inspection" for BMW, "Inspection due" for Audi, etc. |
We also provide service and repair for Jaguar and Land Rover, for both gasoline and diesel engines. Approved oils and filter is the norm and access to SDD/Pathfinder diagnostic systems is essential when working on these cars.
We are a registered repair garage on TOPIX for direct access to factory manuals and technical bulletins so we can tackle any service or repair for your Jag or Land Rover using proper and up to date information.
Range Rover Supercharged 5.0 V8 engines are very powerful but also prone to exhibit timing chain issues and the supercharger "isolator" is a weak spot. The Evoque/Discovery and their 2.0 engines also suffer from the common intake timing adjuster failure and transfer case issues.
